SICK SLEEP

Sometimes at night
I feel the tears crawl
Under my skin; they fall
Into my eyes
Stain my disguise
I try to hide
But can I lie?

I close my eyes
And force a smile
Hoping my mind
Will turn a blind
Eye, buy this lie.
I try to cry
But can I hide
What’s deep inside?

Sometimes at night
I feel things crawl
I try to sleep
But my name they call
Until I cry, stain my disguise
I try to hide
But I can’t lie.

The beast is me
And I seek sleep.
Someone free me.
Someone feed me.
